I just got my credit card statements and I now have a week extra to pay them |
|
I usually pay my credit cards in full, but this extra week is a pretty big deal for me. My mail gets delivered to a PO box that I can only get to every few days, and often delivery is slow anyway. It wasn't uncommon for me to get my credit card bill a day or two before it was due. If I was sick or out of town for a couple days or my internet was down it could be pretty tough to pay on time.
I know there are a ton of things to complain about with the credit card industry and how the government treats it, but it is nice to see this.

1. This is a direct result of the credit card reforms that went into effect in August. |

It would be nice if the law about the length of time between billing and payment applied to everything. I've had a tough time with satellite bills that are clear across the country too.

2. My guess: Part of their "See! We're not so slimy!" PR campaign. |
|
In other news, CC legislation is pending. Probably just a coincidence.

I had to look at the date two or three times and do math in my head. Nice to see.
