Glenn Beck on Harvey Milk: You can concentrate on his homosexuality or his "communist roots" (AUDIO)

This morning, Glenn Beck discusses Harvey Milk’s murder. He contends, it had nothing to do with the fact that Harvey Milk was gay.

Here’s an excerpt of that discussion, where Beck tries to argue that Milk’s political policies didn’t really have anything to do with homosexuality.

After discussing Jim Jones, Glenn Beck turns to Harvey Milk:

At the same time, Harvey Milk, he’s doing all the radical initiatives that he had going for him, which had nothing to do with homosexuality. You can concentrate on that, or that you can look at his communist roots.

Yea, that’s right. Harvey Milk had nothing to do with homosexuality and his murder had nothing to do with Milk being gay.

It’d be easy to dismiss Beck as an idiot, but this is worse - this is willful ignorance and intentional distortion.

It's a convenient dodge because it allows homophobes and racists to cloak their hatred in supposed patriotism. It's hard to truly and openly state why you hate Dr. King or Harvey Milk because doing so reveals you as racist or a homophobe, and in the light of history, it makes you look like out of date and ignorant.

He thrives on hate. The man has no HONOR. He is a bold face Liar. Right now he is in the spot light and can afford to yell the sky is falling, the sky is falling! Unfortunately too many people buy into his spew. The question is.. how low is he willing to go, to get ratings. How
much is he willing to allow happen due to his hate speech.

The man is vile, and disgusting and should be called on the carpet each time he makes such
outlandish remarks. The only question is, who will do it? 60 of his advertisers have dropped
him and he is still going strong.

Maybe draft a new Hate Speech bill, would be an answer. If Fox News got fined often enough,
maybe they would think better of letting him get more air time.
