Speculating doom
If health care fails, if the troops are still in Iraq, if Afghanistan turns into Vietnam, if the economy fails, then the Democrats are through.

Get that: If everything fails, the Democrats, and only, the Democrats, are through.

Those failures have some significant consequences that extend beyond the Democratic Party.

2. It seems that someone has kind of forgotten the effect of the last
8 years and indeed the effect of the raygun policies. What is that saying? If you do not remember the past you are doomed to repeat it?

4. Bah. Through? Who is left to take over?
The Republicans are already done according to the media last year.

If the worst happens, the pendulum will swing right faster than it will if everything goes perfect. Regardless, we know it will swing right and we know it won't stay there forever.

Political consequences aside, and their social reverberations, I just hope people care about doing the right thing
