Andy Williams: Obama Wants The Country To Fail
Old pop crooner Andy Williams, whose hits include 'Moon River,' has some choice words for "Marxist" President Obama.

Williams, 81, has always been a Republican (Ronald Reagan once declared his voice "an American treasure") but in the past has held more moderate views. He claims good friendship with the Kennedy family and thought that Bobby would have made a great president had he lived.

No such goodwill towards the current president, the Telegraph reports:

"Don't like him at all," he said, "I think he wants to create a socialist country. The people he associates with are very Left-wing. One is registered as a Communist.

"Obama is following Marxist theory. He's taken over the banks and the car industry. He wants the country to fail."

2. Oh, that's what they believe
God help them if you ask 'em what should have been done to ward off the depression.

Most say free market societies mean the economy should fail and may the best man/woman win.

It is frightening to try to have a reasonable discussion with them. They believe all the crap that has been furthered by the likes of Faux and the anti-liberal sources that you just reason with them.

I know why the school children singing a song to Obama with his name in it bothered them so. Had it been them as kids, that would have made up their minds on who to support when they grew up.

19. It's funny, I used to like the guy when I was a little kid.
I remember his show in the late 60s, and I saw him at a dinner theater show in Lake Tahoe many years ago with my parents.

Now I think ... Ewwwwww. x(

20. Didn't he or his wife kill someone
He's my era....so the mind isn't working at warp speed----but didn't he or his wife (a french chick) kill someone?? I think he managed to get her out of it or something. Ahhhh, Andy and that ever popular clown, Pat Boone (who thought dressing up in leathers when he was like 900 was cool----jesus, shoot me if I get to be like these people.,,,)

23. I think it had to do with a girlfriend of his, and her skiing boyfriend. Wasn't he
the one who died? I, too, am from that era, and this is the little I remember (if it is accurate at all).
