We need to make the health care system better. Instead we are in danger of making it worse. ......Insurance mandates with no public health-insurance system or real regulation or taming of the insurance companies. Great idea you fricking geniuses.
This Hamlet shit has got to stop.
This cowardice has got to stop.
This kissing the ass of the insurance industry has got to stop.
This courting of stupidass Republican Tories has got to stop.
The Democrats were given the presidency and control of Congress. But too many of them are acting like they lost the damn election.
And Obama has got to start acting more like FDR or LBJ and less like a cross between Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.
If the Weasel Wing of the Democratic Party does not soon follow the lead of REAL Democrats who want actual reform, then they are going to screw the pooch big time.

5. Did you ever stop to consider that the Pres is "OK" with the votes yesterday? |
|
His so-called "support" for the public option has been openly equivocal for a long time now.
I would not be surprised to learn that he is more on the side of Baucus than he is on the side of Rockefeller.

Obama should have been leading the Democrats into a common front with public coverage as a core principle.
His "hands off" approach to the Congressional debate has given too much power to the wrong people.
It does make one wonder if Obama thinks the ideas of the wrong people are actually the right ideas.

8. I am frustrated by the passivity. |
|
It's as if the "process" is more important than ending up with good policy.
I can only conclude that Obama gave up on the public option months ago.
It's up to us now, and those few in the House and Senate who have shown any kind of commitment to actual HCR.
