Disclaimer: Clay Davis was crooked as HELL, but I can only imagine how he would have handled the bluedogs and the repubs. He would have played dirty, but there would have been a legitimate Health Care Reform bill. The public would have been none the wiser. We would have just seen the photo-ops with repubs and dems standing side by side with President Obama.

Can you imagine Clay Davis as the senate leader? Health Care Reform would have been passed over the summer. He would have taken those bluedogs in a room individually and said, "remember when I helped you out in your lil situation? Shiiiiiiittttttttttt, let's get this thing passed!"

The leadership in the senate should have gone hardcore on the obstructionists in their own party. If someone had, the repubs wouldn't be saying, "They don't need us to pass health care reform when they have the numbers."
