Here are the Five Idiots Phone Numbers DU!!! Call early and often!!
Below are the five that showed they do not care about us working our asses off getting them a majority!
I have their office number and a city in the state they represent with a zipcode for the city in case they ask for your city or zipcode. Maybe it is not 100% honest but they don't deserve the truth at this point.
Please DU members call one a day or two if you can. The only way these people change their minds is if they are worried about not getting reelected!!!

Baucus (MT) - (202) 224-2651 - Billings (59101, 59105, 59117)
Carper (DE) - (202) 224-2441 - Dover (19904, 19905)
Conrad (ND) - (202) 224-2043 - Fargo (58102, 58126)
Lincoln (AR) - (202) 224-4843 - Little Rock (72203, 72227)
Nelson (FL) - (202) 224-5274 - Orlando (32818, 32893)
Reid (NV) - (202) 224-3542 (Ask him to LEAD)

White House Comment Line - (202) 456-1111

2. I'm sorry, but that is the most fucked up thing you can do right now...
since none of them give a rat's ass about what someone in New York or Texas think. They have their own constituents to worry about and listen to lobbyists, not random phone calls.

Besides just wasting everyone's time, a real problem could be constituents trying to get through these tied up phone lines with real problems. How would you like it if you couldn't get through to a Senate staffer about a VA or Social Security problem because 100,000 pissed off assholes around the country were jamming the phone lines?

A more sensible way is to support a lobbying organization that speaks for you. Sure, it might actually involve writing a check, but the only way we can deal with "their" special interests is to support our own.

3. You are way out of touch......
Really, are you that naive?

Franken got over 60% of his money to WIN a close election from outside of Minnesota. Do you think he cares about people outside of Minnesota. You betcha!!

You logic is really flawed. So you think a lobbiest can influence them but a citizen from another state cannot??? If enough people call these people they know that they will have people watching them in the next election.

What political hole are you living in???

5. The hole that's been active for over 40 years...
and works with organizations that actually get things done. It all started with the vestiges of Tammany Hall in NYC and eventually dealing with the Union and Essex Democratic machines in New Jersey. Phone calls are child's play.

Following your logic, we should be giving money to Baucus so he would listen to us.

10. Senators represent states more than constituents themselves
Or something like that. But they have undue infllence when they are from small states. People in NY or Cal or held hostage by piddly states (I can say that I am from Carper's piddly state) who hold unrepresentative power.

The Senate is what allow the right wing to have more influence than its numbers warrant. Look at the states they are from - Montana and Delaware have just as much influence in the Senate as California and NY. Giving people from other states a perfect right to contact them. And contribute to the primary opponents.

9. By all means, make sure to call REID. He's in trouble in NV and
he needs pressure to do the right thing because he's wimpy.
