This Nobel Peace Prize is More About Europe Denouncing Bush era Policies
There is a lot of politics that I can sense coming from Barack Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Surely, he hasn't really done anything already to warrant it (which is what the MSM is saying). But the reason the media is so shocked and visibly upset about this is because it's an open vindication from Europe of Bush-era policies and ideals. The same policies the MSM perpetuated for so many years. It also destroys the meme that Obama "lost" the Olympics. And now he's only the 3rd sitting President to win such an award. His name is up there now with FDR...and the MSM wants to talk about how bad things are going for Obama. This hurts their narrative, so now they have to turn what is a very major, positive award into a "burden" as Chuck Todd said. I also think they're trying to force him to turn it down.

1. "Surely, he hasn't really done anything already to warrant it" = Utter Stupidity
Obama has done more good in his first 9 months than Bush did in 8 years

Did Al Gore get it just as a denouncement of Bush? No.

Neither did Obama.

He won't turn it down, because he doesn't take advice from morans.

5. Umm...no it's not
Sure, he's done a lot and I'm glad he got it. But anyone who ignores the politics behind this decision is being utterly stupid. It's not being given to him for anything he's DONE!! Jesus, even the Nobel people are saying that. It's for WHAT HE STANDS FOR!!! What he stands for that is totally different than what Bush neocons stood for.

2. CNN is making a point this morning of showing Europeans that "don't approve".
So I tend to think you are 100% correct.

7. The OP is correct - Neil O'Donnell ...
being a Steeler fan, I knew that Neil O'Donnell was no more than a run of the mill journeyman QB. But, he was the guy who helped Bill Cowher move on from Kordell Stewart, and he looked A LOT better coming after Kordell than he would have coming after Ben Rothlisberger.

BO is a dynamic person, and one Zen MFer.

But, he does not get this award NOW if it had not been for the last 8 years.

I am not a terribly worldly person, but if I talked to 100 foreigners over the last 8 years, every single one of them were absolutely perplexed about how we let Bushco be president and were patiently waiting for us to come to our senses.

6. Why? Because I'm not looking at the surface but
trying to grasp the underlying politics of it all? Don't be so shallow.
