The Say "NO!" to Negative Ninnies and YES to Obama Post
Edited on Fri Oct-09-09 03:04 PM by wowimthere
Add one...

- Say "NO" to Right wing bloviators who want Obama to fail! They don't understand country first. They only seem to understand "guns, unequal rights for minorities and women, war-ad-naseum, saving the unborn only to send a woman's child off to war. They are pro-establishment, knuckle dragging, negative mongers who want this country to fail under a president looking to reform this country from the "do nothing" stagnation of the last 8 years.

- Say "NO" to the media who says Obama shouldn't have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize - he has done more to promote peace and the disarmament of nuclear weapons than anybody I know in the last 8 years. What the fuck did Bush do? He set the peace process back an entire decade. Rightwing pundits and people who enable their rhetoric by letting them go on television and radio do this country a disservice because right wingers don't want peace. They want to stay in Afghanistan! They want to stay in Iraq! They want to keep Gitmo open! They want to bomb Iran. Neo-cons feel comfortable with chaos.

- Say "NO" to people willing to blame the economic crisis - job loss, deregulation and the housing collapse - on this president. President Obama is cleaning up the mess of the last eight years under a president that was careless, foolish and thoughtless. President Obama is fixing the mess left behind, in which greed and arrogance and hubris ran amok.

- Say "NO" to republicans and conservative democrats who want to ruin true healthcare reform by watering it down only to blame the lack of strong reform bill on Obama! The lobbyists have infiltrated both houses and to some degree the White House. These people will stop at nothing to muddy the bill and guess who has been working on it and who will have to sign it. If this bill doesn't go far enough toward universal healthcare because the president gave due diligence to both branches of government tasked to do the people's job didn't do enough to achieve that goal, guess who will get the blame. That's right - President Barack Obama. The right and the media will try to tear him down for doing something to fix healthcare.

- Say "NO" to Republicans who have the worst approval ratings of any body in congress.

We can not let people continue to denigrate a president who is residing over the catastrophes of the last eight years.

REMEMBER PEOPLE: His presidency is only 10 months old! 10 months! Don't let people say he is a do nothing president. He has gotten more "positive" things done in the past 10 months than any president in many of lifetimes.

If I've missed some... please... Add away... "NO" TO THE NEGATIVE NINNIES!!!!!!! Yessss to President Obama!

1. Yes, he stopped a depression...
...is making a serious effort for health care and banking reform, appointed a good justice to SCOTUS, signed SCHIP, make an arms control deal with the Russians and is returned our foreign affairs to sanity (except for the places we invaded). In short, he is so not George Bush.

Still, I would have thought that it took more than not being George Bush to win a peace prize. I'm sure the Swedes know their business, but I can't see it.
