A Defining Moment
Here we are. Here it is.

One thousand days, give or take, have passed since the farce known as the 2000 election came, and went, and deposited this flaming bag of turd on our national doorstep.

One thousande days of work, of marching, of speaking out, of calling, of writing, of praying, of raging, of despair, and then hope, and then despair, and then hope again.

The race doesn't end tonight, but the landscape could well be shaken completely. John Kerry needs to park it tonight, park it deep and no questions remaining. I believe he is going to do it. I believe we are in for one hell of a show. George is going to have to pass for human for 90 minutes, no breaks, no phone-a-friends, no lifelines. I don't think he has it in him, now that he has a record to defend.

One thousand days.

Here we are. Here it is.

2. Kerry's gonna clock him
Bush hasn't been in a debate in four years. He's been in a cocoon since 9/11.

Kerry's been slogging through the trenches since last December. He is battle tested.

This should be good.
