WOW! Bush was SO angry!!!!
I've never seen him look so angry and ready to pounce.

Why the anger?

Kerry was so calm, relaxed and put together.

Bush slouched, rolled his eyes, and looked exceedingly mad.

I believe this ANGER will be the talk tomorrow.

Americans don't like anger.

2. He Said He Wanted To Put His Daughters On A Leash!!!!
He should be on a leash. I thought he was going to leap over the podium and strangle Lehrer for DARING to question him.

Very revealing.

16. Sick! He's just like Lyddie Englad
Wanting to put someone on a leash. That was a huge Freudian slip for Bush. What other stuff is bouncing around in his subconscious.

And why is one who says he's so "optimistic" appear to be so angry?

19. Amen
As Jon Stewart said tonight on Fresh Air (methinks) "John Kerry was born to be president. He got his first 'White House Kit' when he was only three."

John Kerry stood tall. Chimpy appeared to be no more than an ignorant adolescent with a chip on his shoulder and a poor debate coach.

35. A poor debate coach?
Oddly, I heard they both had the same debate professor at Yale.

Guess who paid attention and who got "Gentlemans C"s. Hey, they passed him because they really didn't expect him to ever work for a living. No one was supposed to know that he wasted his educational opportunities.

17. Bush looked like a scared amateur
kept sloshing down a glass of water as if it were gin . He was trying to portray a "strong" man--you know a macho man but it came off as quite stupid. He leaned on the lecturn and smirked and went with the stump speech and platitudes

Kerry was not drawn in--he simply came back with the facts.

I love Kerry now. His references to his Vietnam duty were exquisite. He is a real man.

42. I wrote to CBS

and asked how John Roberts could POSSIBLY call the debate a tie. I commented on Bush's failure to put forth anything NEW as to how he would clean up the catastrophic mess he's created in Iraq. I enumerated Kerry's positives.

I closed mentioning Bush's angry grimace and eye-rolling. I said i found his demeanor most UN-presidential.

Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 10:22 PM by Xipe Totec
More amused than annoyed by the experience. Heard Faux news putting their spin on the event. Even used the lame botox line. But their heart just wasn't in it. Their attacks on Kerry seemed mechanical.

Big John really looked like a President tonight. Bush looked more like Quasimodo.

"Bush looked mad because he WAS mad. He really thinks John Kerry would make a terrible president!"

I've heard this on the Charlie Rose show from a correspondent (from ABC) right after he left the Spin Room.

This one is almost believable, any idea's for counter-spin?
