Kerry kicked Bush's ASS, and the media still gives Bush a free pass.
Imagine the tables were turned, they'd be writing Kerry off by now.

KERRY WON THIS DEBATE, HANDS DOWN! He kicked Bush's ass and the media is in full spin mode.

:grr:

As I said, were the tables reversed, Kerry would be in the proverbial grave.

4. Brokaw was fair. He did not "praise" Bush.
He said good things about Kerry too.

40. Do NOT WAIT, write the press NOW

Go to this link. Write a short positive piece. Then the site will mail it for you to the media centers of your choice. Get the editorials out there ASAP so they can make the morning papers and radio and TV broadcasts!

DU the heck out of them so all they have are floods of pro-Kerry reports!

34. That was Bush's point in 2000
Granted, Gore was not the incumbent, but Bush treated him like he was.

Turnabout's fair play.

8. That's not what I'm hearing. Even Bill Kristol was complimenting Kerry.
The mainstream media is waiting for the polls. Already CBS and ABC have polled independents who clearly give it to Kerry.

10. That's not what I'm hearing either, but then again
I don't get cable.

I watched it on PBS, and while Shields didn't enthuse over Kerry (as Kerry deserved), all David Brooks could manage was to say that bush* held his own.

17. I kinda knew they wouldn't slobber over Kerry
and that they'd give bush* every break imaginable, but I don't think they're going to be able to sustain it. That would only feed into Kerry's argument that bush* is living in a fantasy world of spin and can't handle the facts. This is an argument they can't win, IMO

20. Even David "Kneepads" Brooks
called it "pretty even" on PBS afterwards. Translation: Bushco was petulant, inept, and whiny but I need a job so this is the best I can say. Damning with faint praise.

anyone else notice that *'s light was still green when he finished?
he shorted a number of questions, as well.
while there is a relationship between brevity and efficiency, there is also one between brevity and stupidity.

i know which side of the equation i think * ended up on.

I'm flipping through the channels and hearing this crap--that a guy who can barely start or finish a sentence--"held his own!". Based on what f---ing criteria?

There can be no trusting any of these people.

18. Was C-SPAN the only one to do split screen?
I flipped a couple of times, but had to go back to C-SPAN because of the split screen. The split screen showed how agitated Bush* was and how uncomfortable he looked. He was awkward and wasn't very sincere.

Did he only memorize a dozen statements? He kept repeating the same thing no matter what the question!

35. That split screen was great on C-Span.
Bush looked impatient from the very start, like "let's just get this over with." John Kerry looked relaxed, just nodded his head thoughtfully.

22. The Press are helping us.
Listen... we all can see that Kerry won in most people's minds. Are the press, the people who devote their lives to communications, really dumber than us? No.

They are smarter than us when it comes to these things. They know Kerry won. But they also know if they say that, then BushCo will pull out of the next debates; he'll have to admit running from a challenge after being shown up like that.

The Press are setting expectations through dishonest opinion reporting. Dishonest opinion reporting is 'spin.'

Who actually won the debate is an opinion, not a fact. A whole different kind of journalism rules the day.

We can help spin this FOR Kerry. The media trying to say that Bush* won are saying, "Who you gonna believe, us or your own lying eyes?"

Only idiots will believe someone else's spin of what they saw when it's this obvious.
