the rhetoric. What it was Kerry's job to do was to point out the huge differences between the Bush rhetoric and the Bush reality. And although Kerry did some of that tonight, I think he should have used a simple line like, "Mr. president let me point out the big difference between your rhetoric and reality." He should have used that line a few times. And then he should have said something like, "Mr President you keep telling us what a strong leader and commander in chief you are. That's rhetoric. In reality a strong leader is one who inspires people to follow, not one who feels compelled to keep reminding people he is a strong leader. In fact, it's almost a natural law that the more you have to tell people you are a strong leader the less of a natural leader you are."
