For the very first time my heart is involved for Kerry, not just against Bush. I am so relieved and happy. May this be the beginning of the turnaround for John Kerry.

and at one point, I did not like John Kerry, but he has earned my respect and I see him in a much different light. I love the guy! What some criticize him for, I like. The man can only be himself, but he is indeed a Favorite Son of the RIGHT kind, a man of honor, valour, dignity, soft-spoken intelligence, sincerity and depth. He was excellent tonight, but I am not surprised at all. He definitely carries himself like a statesman.
I must say that Bush exceeded all my expectations by doing much worse than I anticipated. Not that I'm disappointed, mind you. I kind of wish I had been completely sober in order to better savor the experience. Then again, the alcohol haze helped me deal with the crassness, lies and stupidity coming out of Bush's mouth. And if I hadn't seen a feed of Nixon during the height of Watergate last week, I may not have been so intrigued by Bush's rapid blinkfest.

Much more exciting and emotionally resonant--but tonight Kerry was as good as I think he's ever going to be. He wasn't tremendously exciting or emotionally resonant, but he made a really good logical appeal to American voters tonight.

9. no kidding, i was a HUGE dean supporter, but.... |
|
kerry clearly demonstrated that he was the most qualified out of any of the primary candidates, and anyone else i can think of for that matter. kerry's big success here is he will excite the base. he'll definitely pull alot of undecides over but i think this is a performance that will make people proud to vote for this man. he was great!!

:hi:
He turned the whole debate around and stuck it in Bush. It's difficult not to write about this in violent terms--I keep wanting to say he shoved it down Bush's throat--because the effect was violent: He **forced** Bush into being the issue. In one fell swoop.

15. That's because Kerry used complete sentences, concise and to the point |

with a rich, yet not too complicated vocabulary.
Bush's vocabulary was limited to about 200 words.

Instead, he explained complex problems (ex. N Korea and Iran, and Russia) in clear and simple terms, and how bush*'s actions sent mixed signals on nuclear proliferation, which both agreed is the #1 problem.
I repeat, nuclear proliferation, which both agreed is the #1 problem, and Kerry made it clear that both NK and Iran have progressed towards WMD's while it would 13 years to secure the tons of nuclear material in Russia under bush*

I might be one of Kerry's biggest critics around here, and plan on remaining so, but he got to Junior tonight, and that dumb son of a bitch was a defensive red faced stuttering bumbling idiot all night.
Junior will pull out of the third debate, so let's hope the second one is as entertaining

26. I am proud to say I was with Clark , |

and I am equally proud of being for Kerry now . We had great candidates in the primary and the Democratic Party owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Howard Dean for giving liberals a spine transplant . I think we have a great chance to win with Kerry , but that victory owes a great deal to Howard dean .
