Yes, they're wearing makeup. It's television. Yes, I do think Kerry should fire his makeup artist. But George looks so short and subservient in that picture.

* looks like he has a rectangular scar or a piece of tape above his left eye. Very strange. It looks like Kerry is wearing lip color because he probably is. Makeup that looks strange close up looks fine on TV from a distance. One reason why you don't notice lip color on Bush is because the angle/lighting in the picture is wrong, and he probably licked it off long ago making all of those faces. The constant smirking, smacking lips, and cringing on Bush's part were almost painful to watch. It's as though he had no clue the camera wasn't breaking away when Kerry spoke.

They both wore makeup, period, so I hope none of the pundits get shallow enough to go there. Neither one of them looked made up during the debate. I do think FOX may have done something to the color on Bush's camera, because next to Kerry, he did look orange-ish. And larger. The rosy tones backfired, and we weren't fooled, you silly FOX people, you. :)

It's hilarious that Bush chose to wear a blue tie and Kerry wore (burgundy) red. I wonder if either of them consciously chose those colors with opposite party affiliation in mind.
