1. Yep, I agree!
I was so sure they were going to protect him and make sure they didn't show what an asshat he was being, but they didn't! See, that's what happens when your minions are idiots!

2. I thought the same thing
I wondered who in hell they had on their cameras. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

4. even fox commentators mentioned this
Not about W looking bad when Kerry talked, but about how, b/c Kerry's taller, he filled the whole screen every time they split it. Bush looked like an angry, flustered little man while Kerry filled the whole screen looking very distinguished. They commented that the Bush people probably didn't anticipate that.

I hate these shallow aspects of debate analysis, but they really are important, and thankfully I think Kerry won on those points.

7. what was with bush's back
It looked like the outline of a brace or something underneath his jacket when they showed him from behind. Very weird looking....

6. from BuzzFlash
Bush will get some points for never lapsing into complete incoherence, but anyone watching on television saw him gradually shrinking at the podium.

8. I watched C-span, but did a quick persual of the other channels
I thought they were all being fed split screens, but that wasn't the case--apparently, the individual stations set them up at their discretion. A clever way to get around the "no reaction shots" rule, I must say!
