22. Thanks for the corrected post
At 8:56pm, 903 people had voted. It was Kerry 88.4, Bush 9.9 and neither 1.8.

I hope that the majority of the people in South Dakota agree that Kerry won. That will help Daschle in his tight race. We need every Dem we can get in the Senate.

26. This debate is a litmus test, make no mistake
So obvious and incontrovertible is the great Kerry performance and the Bush meltdown in a cheesy format, so alarming some of the actions and stumblings by Bush at the podium- never mind the incoherent vacuous content, that I would look very keenly- and with a long memory- at ANYONE, especially at DU, who even starts trying to insert little points to the contrary.

On a meter scale, TIME(which I have great difficulty in making work) is high up there on the whore list. Very high. FOX did a cowardly retreat in the face of their own dismayed audience who could not swallow trying to transmogrify this debacle. Temporary and prudent no doubt. At least someone is admitting it is time for damage control and a "comeback" mode.

Some posters, I don't have to name them, they stick out like sore thumbs, are flying their true colors- and as otherwise they have been too clever to be banned before(most have far fewer than 1000 posts) are insinuating wives' opinions, the tie motif, the small deficiencies of Kerry that any human would have to make in that format. This may be our last chance to root them out. Only a few nutcases could conceivably watch that show and say Bush did OK. The GOP owns the chicken flag, don't fly it here. IF they are honest DUers, they desperately need a vacation until after November. Purge? I think it more the case that even infiltrators need a BIG reality check. No one is going to swallow the swill handed out by Bush cheerleaders or the wise nonsense of Time mag.

Let's not be seduced in the slightest by the Big Lie in a clown suit. Not lose our nerve and shame our rightly chosen candidate. If someone was looking for a better kind of debate, remember that it takes at least two and Bush is AWOL as a serious speaker.

Give querulous dissenters a time out. Bush needs one too.
