ANGER, ARROGANCE, PETULANCE

We saw some of the real Bush tonight. He's angry he has to deal with an "opponent" -- the Bushes think they own our White House.

1. If this is Gergen's observation then it is most likely so.

13. Hell, Baby Bush checked his watch
As well in 2000 in one of the debates. I yelled, "Oh, hell no!" in shock when he did because daddy got lampooned for it, and he did it much more obviously and with a pissed-off "are we through yet" look on his face, but no one called him on it, of course.

4. I thought he looked drugged and pathetic. He was in short just
awful. KERRY WON THE DEBATE GOING AWAY.

5. Have to compare with the Gore/Dole presentation at SMU this week
that Gergen moderated. Those two, whether or not you agreed with either side, are STATESMAN. At one point, a guy stood up and said that he didn't like it that Gore had discussed some political agendas. Gergen said, basically, thank goodness that we have freedom of speech.

Gergen seems pretty even-handed.

7. He had good things to say about Bush, but no Kerry negatives...
only Kerry positives. Said Kerry's "back in the game." Would not declare a "winner."

9. Gergen is a Republican but he's an old-fashioned, decent
Republican. There were some. Gergen is one.

Did you notice how Bush II looked when Kerry brought up Bush I?

Gergen had it right.

12. That's it! I kept thinking who he reminded me of. It is Mussolini!
He made some of the most gosh-awful faces I have ever seen.
