What the hell is wrong with GW?
I am watching a replay of the debate...wasn't able to watch it during the live debate.

GW is fidgety...smirky...Jeez, and he is repeating his same talking points we have heard 1000 times. When Kerry speaks, he is making faces, fumbling with his pen, smirking, batting his eyes.

WTF is wrong with him? How could anyone vote for that fucker after tonight????

9. That's exactly right. And having to face half an audience of people
hate his guts must have made him extremely nervous too. The pampered little shit hasn't been forced to be in front of a real diverse crowd since 2000.

18. Exactly!
Calling him on it to his face and for once he can't do a fucking thing about it. It must infuriate the hell out of him that Kerry didn't have to sign a loyalty oath to be in *his majesty's* presence!

(Caveat: I don't advocated spanking children, just fake presidents.)

10. I'm watching the replay with split screen
I have the sound off and Bush's* facial expressions while Kerry is speaking are so tight. The pursed lips, the theatrical double takes, trying to get Lehrer's attention way before Kerry finishes his statements and the mile-a-minute blinking tell so much.

I'd say that right about now, the shrub is the guy to avoid for the rest of the night.

the bar stool next to you in any bar in America is more qualified than this moron. Think about it, look at his bio, take away his name and he is a high-school drop-out with no future - truely scarry!

Maybe the WH's internal polling shows W is a gonner.

And to answer your question: just about every damn thing that CAN be wrong with a person.

11. He speaks with the rhythm of the earpiece
He pauses about every 2-3 seconds for 1-2 seconds, so he can catch up with the audio in his ear.

We need to stop worring about the earpiece. We're lucky he uses a mental crutch, because he looks lousy with it.

35. I didn't see it, and fwiw most people think I am a nutso so maybe you are
I'm just saying that I think the way he spoke and his eyes and head posture made me believe that he was listening to coaching.

I didn't see an earpiece and wouldn't expect to. That could fall out while sliding down the PrezPoles to the escape cave. It's probably an implant the size of a pin head, made in a guvment lab.

15. Bush's message:
"I am your resolute leader. How dare you question me. Stay the course. Iraq is going great. "

Rinse. Repeat.

But as many times as he repeats it, it doesn't make it true.

Meme: The President cannot solve America's problems because he refuses to acknowledge reality when reality goes against him.

17. I heard the last two minutes of the debate on radio
And I was frankly appalled at what I heard. Dubya was slurring his speech, misarticulating words "I have a relation with Putin" and he was bumbling all the way. He sounded as if a hangover was getting in the way.

Now I heard Bush wanted the heat turned up for this debate. Was it getting too damn hot up there for him? Sheesh.

If I were Kerry, I'd say, keep the heat up, it fries Bush's brains...

23. He knows he can't run on his record, or burn it either
He knows he's out of his league, that Kerry really knows what he's talking about and has a political career that stretches back to *'s slacker days.

He has the feeling that a fake Rolex watch has on a cheap cart in Times Square, waiting for the big bust.

He won't be disappointed. It's coming.

26. When he can't use a scripted response, he loses it..
about a month ago, I watched a news conference when Hamid Karzhai was here, and when reporters started pushing him on questions abt Iraq, Bush started demanding that they stop asking so many questions because 'it's so hot standing here in the Rose Garden'. He started the last 6 answers at least, with that response. It happened midday, and of course got no evening coverage. He started barking a reporters that they only got one question - so no follow-ups - but then a few reporters started asking the follow-up question from the reporter before him. He looked like a spoiled brat.

36. This is years of hard living finally catching up to him.
Along with his inability to take even the least little bit of criticism and his deteriorating mental state and we have a complete breakdown waiting to happen. I honestly don't know if he can take much more of this before he melts down.
