ok, I watched for the earpiece stutterstep and I found 7 or 8 examples of it.

where Bush would look down at the podium, silently, and then come out of it with a coherent sentence. This was different from when he was thinking, which he does by looking up and to the left or right.

He wasn't looking at his notes, they were on his left, he would soft focus at a point about 2 inches above the lectern.

anyone else looking for this? who has tivo and can verify.
