Kerry reminded me of Abe Lincoln!
He was tall and straight and long faced like honest Abe and he talked presidential.

Bush slouched against the podium like an old drunk who was afraid he might fall over.

:yourock: Kerry

1. I agree
I have called him Lincolnesque before, but he is much, much better looking. Has something to do with that tall and lean look. He's great, and he did marvelously, honey.

2. Yes, and remember how Douglas twisted his moustache evilly?
Just playing with you.

Just that none of us have ever seen Lincoln speak. There is a light physical resemblance though.

Bush's chimpiness shone through like E.T.'s "heart light".

5. I meant in my mind's eye.
I am currently reading "Lincoln" by Gore Vidal so that's why I noticed the resemblance.

4. Yes - and just wait
for the domestice issues debate - jobs, outsourcing, health care, children's health and education, seniors!
Kerry should bring up Lincoln in the next one.

I can't wait.

6. I just hope that most Americans watched the actual debate
We're home free if they did

If Americans just see clips and spin, then we have to keep on keeping on!

7. they showed a distant shot of Kerry....
at one point and he looked like John Kennedy, Jr. standing at the podium. Later, I heard someone on TV comment about Kerry looking like John Kennedy, Jr. standing there from a distance. At any rate, he did a much much better job and looks way more Presidential than W.
