5. Yeah, I saw it too. What else is he gonna say? |

I'm old enough to have watched the Kennedy-Nixon debate in 1960. That one debate tipped the election. Kennedy looked calm, tan, composed, and very presidential. Nixon looked nervous, uncomfortable, irritated, and pasty. And this was in black-and-white.
Tonight Kerry outdid Kennedy. And Bush took a pasting from Kerry that Nixon never had to suffer.
And this foreign policy/homeland security debate was supposed to be Bush's strong point. Wait until Kerry reams Bush in the domestic arenas debates.
Bush is toast!
It's as if Kerry's entire campaign was nothing but a tantalizing and often frustrating leadup to tonight's performance. Simply amazing.

7. Joe has a couple of hot buttons |
|
that turn him into a ferocious repuke, but otherwise he seems, to me at least, more open and honest than most RW'ers on cable.
Notwithstanding, of course, the dead secretary, his affair, divorce, etc.

his Clinton hatred.
The only thing you can ever hope about a modern day Republican is for them not to be bigoted, and I don't feel Scarborough is bigoted. He may be a lot of things, but not a bigot.
Scarborough is reasonable for someone who calls himself a conservative. He's not a bad guy. In another life he would've grown up in a Blue area and most of us would find him to be a pretty good guy.

is over the military. He has the RW attitude about protecting the honor of the military to the extreme, will not even concede that atrocities have been committed by US troops in the past, even when confronted with the proof. No comparison, though, to the other RW'ers, who tow the party line and would never admit that Kerry won the debate.

He is a obvious Bush supporter, but he doesn't let that support blind him from the facts of the debate tonight. I think he is generally being honest. It is damn near impossible to say that Bush won tonight. The absolute best you could say is that Bush didn't lose by that much, and that seems to be stretching it. I am sure that I'll get jumped on for supporting Joe, but I think he was being pretty honest tonight.
BTW, I am not watching After Hours right now, so I can't really comment on what Joe's saying now. So he may be totally whoring right now and I wouldn't know.

I just turned on MSNBC and I could swear he was asking Fineman if people were going to gather around the watercooler tomorrow and talk about Bush's firm resolve on Iraq.
BTW, did they put a muzzle on Ron Reagan? He barely says a word.
