Past debates are recalled generally with just one tiny thing: Nixon sweating, Ford says Eastern Europe was free of Soviet domination, "There you go again", the sigh, the wristwatch etc.

What will it be from tonight? Anything?

4. You may be on to something
The general impresssion was that Bush is in over his head with the war in Iraq.

By contrast, Kerry was the one who acted like a president.

5. I think people will remember
this moreso as the time that Kerry introduced himself to the nation as the president...and not just the democratic candidate for president.
