13. I'm glad to add some humor. After all those depressing polls |
|
it's time to lighten up just a little after this major Kerry victory.
When longtime Republicans are turning blue this year (ah, what an image that is), it might as well be springtime.

But then, if your a Buddhist, hasn't God kind of been purged from the vote list?

I'd have to go with Unitarian model with regard to voting. one god, one vote. Even for Hindu gods. Theyll all have to work out their multiplicities within themselves. While on biblical note, that "Valley of Peace" he was going on about. Meggido? About right, that.

We need to send the message to them that Election Day has been moved to Friday, November 5 from 8AM-10AM.

I think some church group is running a campaign to flood the lines - They were callin all the lines, republican, independent and democrat. Several callers on the democrat line hung up.
So much for "Christian values" like honesty...

26. Glad your prayer to Satan worked. |
|
I hope my prayers to Jesus and Buddha had a part, too.
The Neo-Con religious nuts have nothing on the non-Christian Jesus worshippers. :)
I think we've got a lot of Christians on our side. They know that there is a time for war and a time for killing, and it is wrong to be unable to defend oneself or one's family. They also realize that what is going on with the war in Iraq is wrong.

28. I heard one lady call people voting on the economy "shallow" |
|
She said that she couldn't believe that people who were voting for Kerry because of economic issues or other things could be so shallow. I was pissed enough already.
Then she says that the only real issue is abortion.
:wtf:
This stupid, clueless, Xanaxed bitch thinks I am shallow, and then has the audacity to say that abortion should be the only issue?

29. thats the ONLY issue? |
|
I don't mean to treat abortion lightly, but there are a number of issues we have to deal with on a daily basis that I would put before abortion as an issue. But then that wouldn't fit in with her agenda I'm sure.

35. That's what I was thinking when I heard her |
|
She actually said that the numbers of net job losses was nothing compared to the abortion "crisis" in our country, all the innocents who are killed, blah blah.
Well, I have 2 things to say to the "pro-life", anti-choice crowd:
Abortion is not the only issue. Sorry. We are facing the threat of fascism and a corporate-controlled government, and your only concern is that people can get a morning after pill?
Also, if you are going to be pro-life, ACT LIKE IT!! Don't "fight for the rights" of fetuses, and even justify killing doctors because you belive in the rights to survival of innocent children, and then turn right around and pass legislation that does nothing to help children in poverty. Don't sit with a woman and give her constant support all through her pregnancy just to turn around and call her a whore and a deginerate because she is a single mother.
Fuck these people. They aren't pro-life. They just like envoking moral superiority.
How in the world can these people have such high self-respect while thinking that George Bush is a moral, decent, intelligent man?
