well, I actually broke down and watched the debate tonight . . .
but only after I found out that C-SPAN was carrying it on split screen . . . anyone who watched on C-SPAN would have to be nuts to vote for Bush . . . his body language conveyed someone who was tired, petulant, fidgety, orange, and generally unqualified for an office as monumentally important and President of the United States . . . Kerry, on the other hand, came across as thoroughly presidential, which is precisely what he had to accomplish tonight . . . the fact that he also beat the pants off the little weasel on substance was just a nice little bonus . . .

btw . . . C-SPAN will likely be replaying the debate at various times over the next few days . . . if you didn't watch the split screen version, it adds a whole new dimension to what happened tonight . . . catch it if you can . . .

best post-debate moment for me was watching Scarborough admit that Kerry won the debate hands down . . .

now all we have to worry about is whether junior will try to pull out of the remaining two debates . . . the good news is whether he does or doesn't, he loses either way . . .

How did you like Dubya's lectern raised higher than Kerry's on split screen so that their heads would be level. The 2 lecterns were so cockeyed in comparison, I could only see Dubya's buzzers.

I have a feeling Tom Ridge will be holding another press conference soon. ;)

2. They showed a lot of that on NBC, too
Bush made Dan Quayle look alert and resolute. He was really pathetic.

Kerry's demeanor was for the most part excellent. Tonight, Kerry looked presidential and Bush looked lost.
