The genius I see in the debate. |
|
Okay, so Bush has his ass handed to him tonight by who I believe is going to be the next president of the united states.
I must say, however, that it was more than Kerry's intellectual domination, poise, command and otherwise mastery of the political material that helped him smoke the smirk.
What I noticed the most was the nuance of almost subliminal signals (which I am sure were deliberate).
For instance, as the candidates were introduced and greeted each other, Kerry postures to continue to shake the president's hand as Bush retreats to his podium. To me, this gave the impression that Bush was hostile, angry and "on the run" or defensive.
Similarly, at the conclusion of the debate, Mrs. Kerry made the first first move to greet Pickles and then, at their parting, she also hesitated their divergence giving the appearance that the first lady was rude and also "on the run".
Additionally, when Mrs. Kerry took the wrong turn to get off the stage. This is something I would have done deliberately to gain a few seconds in front of the audience as my opponent was "scrambling to escape". if you saw this you noticed that the audience's cheers increased in intensity when this happened.
These are the bits of genius that I think underscored Kerry's utter mastery of the debate tonight and illustrates the fact that bush is (and has been) completely out of his league.
not to mention that the Guinness Book will be contacting bush for setting new records in "how many time the phrase 'and...uh' can be said in a two minute address".
on the other hand, Kerry could have smoked him simply because bush is an ass.

Were gracious and poised. Laura once again out classed her husband. Theresa was, as usual, simply radiant.

2. I noticed how both ladies gave each other the once over |

and seemed to be exchanging compliments on dresses, which both looked to be the same shade of pink. Their men just finished arguing war and their wives more interested in fashion! Maybe it is time for a female president.

Theresa is a grand lady ... and so is Laura. Laura needs to dump her loser and hook up with a hard rock guitarist or something. She would be happier.

5. Kerry MASTERED Bush At The Hand Shake |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 02:02 AM by Beetwasher
Kerry held him and made Bush blink and slink away.
It was over after that.
All Kerry ever had to do, was get him within arms reach and let him know he was up against a man. The rest does itself.
