I am finally happy to vote for Kerry
Swing voter.
Bush hater.
Mad at Kerry for the running mate choice.

Finally happy, after tonight, and smug to bounce into neo-con-infested work tomorrow with newly pressed Kerry (only) sticker next to my Draft Clark sticker, near my "Stop Mad Cowboy Disease" sticker and tell all the "W" Sticker wearing folks, "Your boy got his clock cleaned!" :D

Thank you, Kerry, for giving this swing voting moderate a reason to vote FOR you and not AGAINST Shrub.

(We'll work on your cabinet... K? LOL! ;) )

Just wanted you guys to know I'm OK now with this.

(I'm still voting for a Republican in Congress, locally - but, before I get pounced - he was one of six in the House who voted against the Iraqi War.)

1. Sigh. Kudos for 1st decision. Boo for 2nd. The congressional Repub
will help other Repubs get into office, and on the circle of Repubs will go. They, in turn, will help to push the Repub agenda.

But one is better than none, and it's a biggie. So....welcome to the decision maker's club!

2. We don't have viable local Dems
on the state level anyway... not in East Tennessee.

At least I don't have a neo-con. Just a regular Republican who has slapped Bush on this war in national and local editorials.

But think of the big picture. As President, Kerry will need the support of the House and Senate to enact his legislation. We need to take control of those chambers. Supporting the Republican you mentioned is only a small victory for yourself. Think of the betterment of the country. And also consider, the person you are now voting against also gave "AUTHORITY" for a competent President to use force as a last resort. He did just as Kerry did.

I hope you will reconsider that vote. But congratulations on firming your vote for Kerry.
