anyone else think Bush secretly doesn't WANT to be president anymore? |
from the way he came out at the RNC with watery eyes and acted sluggish; to tonight when he was distracted, pissy, and bored; and everywhere in between. to me he seems like a man who is just going thru the motions. i think he would like to not be president again. he would never purposely let it be known, but to me it really looks like he hates what he does and would rather go ride his bike in Crawford.
i keep getting the feeling, that some time when he is backed into a corner, he will just break down and say "fuck it" and walk off stage.

1. bush's problem is that he is |
spoiled rotten. everything has to be handed to him, he neither wants nor knows how to fight for anything he wants. if he is not immediatly handed whatever he desires he throws a hissy fit like the big baby he is.unattractive in a two year old, catastrophic in our president.

I think you are mistaking him not wanting to be on the same stage as Kerry and being challenged for not wanting the job. Bush still wants the job. He just got his ass handed to him. If I were Bush I'd rather be anywhere than having to stand toe to toe with Kerry.

3. Bush was drafted to be pResident, anyway. And remember how he avoided |
being drafted to be a foot soldier in Vietnam. Maybe he is getting his just rewards. :nopity: I too wonder if he isn't getting tired and maybe wants to put his toy soldiers away in a box. He really only wanted to be Commissioner of Major League Baseball.

5. You know what they say |
about Karma. It comes back to you. So maybe since Bush didn't go to Vietnam and Kerry did it's coming back to get him in the butt. ;) One can only dream. Maybe all of Bush's b.s. is catching up to him. :)

4. I think Bush is overwhelmed by the job |
& subconsciously he transmits that message.
He was obviously unprepared for the Presidency, & he might have gotten by OK, if not for 9/11. We needed someone with a grasp of world affairs, foreign cultures, & the knowledge of the power & shortcomings of military power.

is as much of a puppet as Ayad Allawi. Karl Rove is like, "You WILL be the President and you WILL act like you like it!!"

he's already got what he wanted... Iraq is taken out, Halliburton is in, all four more years wil give him is more of what he's had for the past two, 55% of the people breathing down his neck.

10. I think you are on to a good idea. |
This is the premise of Freud's theory of the Freudian slip from "The Psychopathology of Everyday Life." He basically claims that if people are forcing themselves to do something they really don't want to, they will screw it up 'accidentally-on-purpose' and never fully understand they did that.

12. I've suspected that for a long time and... |
...I definitely think you're on to something. I believe, in my heart of hearts, that the one person who'll be most relieved on Nov. 2 when Kerry wins will be...his opponent.

14. I had a really horrible thought |
I don't think he wants to be president. He doesn't get to party any more. The problem is, his handlers want him to keep on because he's such a great puppet. If he starts flubbing it they may kill him so Cheney can take over. They may even delay the elections.

16. I had the same thoughts. When does Shrub become a negative for NeoCons? |
If shrub has a "heart attack" then Cheney could take over!

15. You must remember this. |
George Bush has emphasized tonight that all this is hard work. George Bush doesn't really know much about hard work, but he knows enough to not like it very much. No, he wants to win badly, but he just wants everybody in the Universe to make his job easier by giving him his way all the time and putting the blame for his headbutts on someone else. He's a butthead, plain and simple.
