Kerry has basically restarted his campaign
I can't believe it, but his debate performance is really encouraging. Sure the last few weeks, he has improved, but he REALLY needed a national stage to re start what seemed like a stagnating, and almost imploding campaign.

Hell, even the media whores couldn't spin this one. Even Joe fuckin Scarborough thought Kerry did better. Hell, someone in the National Review thought Bush messed this one up (and this magazine is to the right of Musollini).

I'm not going to say it's over, because the media will spin any improvement in Bush over the next few debates as a "comeback". Also, while the next few debates should favor Kerry (domestic policies), Bush will keep bringing up taxes and cultural issues (I love Jesus, the gays, abortion, Kerry will raise your taxes, etc).

I am pretty sure that Kerry will do quite well though. We'll see improvements in states which Gore won by a lot (NJ and MD). We'll see states which were tilting Bush's way, come back to being much closer (and hopefully leaning Kerry's way - MN, IA and WI). We'll see MI and PA with stronger Kerry leads.

Hopefully we'll also see MO tighten again...as well as OH and FL (though these two were already pretty close...hopefully Kerry will get a lead in them).

I'd like to see Kerry have 10 point leads in all these states, but most stubborn Bush supporters won't be swayed...

All in all, thank you John Kerry for keeping hope alive.

1. Yes, that's exactly what Kerry did tonight, kept hope alive. I believe
strongly that as long as Kerry is close to Bush in the polls come election day, we'll win. We just gotta keep hope alive for a few more weeks.

2. I thought Kerry did a great job but I am a little more anti-war than he is
I think we should just pack up and leave Iraq and about other 50 countries we have bases but I guess most people do not feel like me.
