DENVER (AP) - Air Force Reserve officials here, as well as staffers at the White House, were struggling to explain the sudden appearance of a 1974 document in which George W. Bush submitted his resignation from the Reserve, saying he had "inadequate time" to fulfill his duty obligations.

The White House found the document yesterday and contacted the Air Reserve Personnel Center in Denver, where Bush was serving at the time he wrote the letter.

Bush had ordered the release of all of his service records in February.

Reserve Center public affairs spokesman Lt. Col. Tom Deall said he sent Bush's Guard records to the White House two weeks ago, but the resignation letter wasn't in

7. Okay, how do you resign from the reserves in the middle of a war?
Especially when today you can be forced to stay in past even your out date?? Can we say "privileged character"?

8. The debate was great.
I should get around to adding that document to my web page tomorrow or the next day. It fits in nicely with what was already known. I think maybe it came from his Harvard file, I saw on TV? Perhaps they never exhausted their checking there. I wonder whose names are on it. Or was it a Yale file? A college file.

What was that "disarming" quip Bush made about Yale during the debate? Is this a Yale-related document or just a college-related document?

What a weird day.

9. Aww, man, more font wars?!
On first blush this looks like a smoke bomb intended to divert attention from the drubbing our guy gave their guy last night.

10. Roveresque distraction alert
Bullshit. I hope nobody goes for this bait. I know DU folks won't fall for it...but the "general public" isn't quite so astute.

Fact:Lieboy was AWOL. Case closed.

Rover will pull out all the stops now. This is going to be a very ugly month. What's next? Terra alerts up the wazoo? Osama captured? More hurricanes for Florida....the more the merrier....the more confusion and disarray the better.
We know the "weather" can be affected by these dolts.
Tinfoil hat too tight? Maybe....maybe not. :tinfoilhat:

This stuff deserves NO response. None whatsoever. Let them twist slowly in the wind. It's unraveling and the wheels are falling off their little lie-wagon.
