I Hate To Say I Told You So... |
|
They archived my post where I said Kerry debating the Simian In Chief is like Plato debating Fred Flintstone...
If the debate was a boxing match it was George Foreman knocking Joe Frazier down six times in their first fight before it was stopped...
If this was a football game it was the 85 Bears beating the then hapless Patriots 46-10...
If this was a basketball series it was the Pistons beating the over hyped Lakers in five games...

4. Your profile says you are from Florida |
|
But, your post makes me wonder.
Are you, or have you at any time been a Chicagoland resident?

5. The Superbowl Reference... |
|
I hated the Pats for eliminating the Dolphins in the playoffs leading to the 85 Superbowl...
Don't forget that Dolphin team was the only team to beat the Bears that year....

Funny story though:
I moved to Chicagoland (northwest suburbs, Gurnee area) in 1994 when I was 13. One of the first things that my family and I noticed is that people there still talk about the '85 Bears. Still. As though it were happening now.
My dad told me that, after Bears losses, espeically when they played and lost to the Pats, people at his work would bring the Superbowl tape in that Monday.
For the life of me, I did not understand it.
But, when you are rooting for the Bears, you gotta hang on to whatever you've got.

8. That Team Was Scary Good On Defense... |
|
They arguably had the most intimidating defense in contemporary NFL history....
They knocked out something like six quarterbacks in a row ....
