Let's enjoy our moment but not get cocky or complacent...
There's still a month left to go, and as much as Kerry is a closer (as he started to show the process of last night), Buscho is at their best and worst when they are cornered like caged animals.

There are still over 30 days and 2 debates left. Bush will definitely come out stronger in the second and third debates because they will make him learn from his mistakes this time around. Which means that the two debates closer to the election he will be declared the winner for improving and changing his style (as oppossed to Gore who was declared the loser in 2000 for doing the same thing after the first debates).

I'm convinced Kerry won over some key undecideds and I think he'll take away bush's miniscule lead in most polls. But this is still way too close to call and way too close for any of us to get cocky or complacent. Let's enjoy this day but still keep looking ahead and working as though we were the underdogs.

1. Agreed...
One debate does not an election make. Especially when there are so many media schills out there trying to derail Kerry.

2. Yes, agreed.
We just need to continue this surge for another 24 hours -- just long enough to keep the stones mossy so that the pundits don't get a firm footing on negative spinning for Kerry.

3. I strongly suspect...
that Kerry will trounce w in the next two. W is even more ignorant on domestic issues.

4. let us also remember that the bushes do not like to lose.
Let us remember that they gave Clinton hell to pay for winning over Poppy Bush in 1992.

What hell to pay do they have on hand for Kerry?

Bush was shamed last night. Mommy Bush doesn't like that. Poppy Bush doesn't like that. Brother Jeb doesn't like that.

What hell to pay do they have for Kerry, I wonder.

There are two main themes running through the bushes lives. One is winning. The other is payback time.

5. Nah, Bullshit...
...this election is OVER, and has been for some time. Last night's debate was just icing on the cake.
Let us enjoy this moment, please, without a lot of crappy "but, but, but..." nonsense.

8. I wouldn't worry. Handlers like Carville won't let Kerry get cocky. . .
and Kerry won't let himself get too cocky. He's been debating since he was a prep-school student. He's been working all his life for the role of POTUS - he's not about to blow it now.
