2. I just didn't think he'd do THIS badly. |
|
I thought he'd play his semi-informed Texas good-ol-boy schtick well enough to be passable. But he just looked like an ignorant fool. Truly, stunningly awful.

3. I Had Heard That He's a Master Debator |
|
I also heard that the next debate is a town-hall setting, which is Bush's turf because he is the most at-ease when he is practicing his love on the voters directly.

4. I thought * would be declared the winner, but |
|
his poor performance last night was beyond even my wildest liberal expectations!
He was so bad even Faux and Scarborough had to admit it. Even (I eat LOTS of)Candy Crowley couldn't spin a Bush victory.

I thought people would say he won, like in 2000
And, some pundits and others are trying to.

6. I was shocked, shocked, I tell you! |

So shocked, in fact, that I started a thread, and got more responses to it than any other thread I started in 2 1/2 years here at DU: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=934568&mesg_id=934568Yes, I'm proud. And Bush probably isn't. --bkl

7. Didn't think he'd actually win, but thought he'd at least do well enough |
|
for the media whores to drag him over the finish line and then declare him the winner.
But all of Rove's horses and all of Rove's men couldn't save him last night.

... his summation was pretty good, I could see the wingnut contingent going for it. No doubt it was rehearsed a thousand times.
But the rest of the debate? I'm saving this to tape, it is a part of history. In some hopefully not-too-distant future, this will be viewed as a low point in our history. How did an inarticulate, muddled, talking point spewing moron ever get to be president of these United States?
