Forgive me Mods, I didn't know that C**t was a bad word. I just thought * was stupid; my old man is from Yurp; he calls EVERYBODY he doesn't agree with C**ts--it's not, like, a PERSONAL slur, it's kinda general.

Anyway, my profoundest apologies--I am so sorry. but I still feel the same. The sucker was ORANGE and drank SEVERAL TIMES out of an empty glass. My old man, the guy from YURP (Europe), says he's a C**T (derogatory term for female genitalia or just a Brit term for.... GIRLY MAN). I cannot believe I was LOCKED for THAT?

8. I was the one who complained yesterday

about DUers using words like "bitch" and "ugly" to describe female commentators we don't like. Same goes for the mighty c* word.

Please don't use gender specific insults against people, even people who are horrible and rotten. It damamges all woman-kind, including the women you love in your own family.

This is also why blacks can have organizations that revolve around their race, but whites cannot. When you are the minority, or you have been oppressed (since obviously women are at least 50% of the pop.) you have a right to carve out your own protected space.

Men never had to give up their property rights when they married. Men were never under the control of women simply because they were men. Men did not have to fight tooth and nail for the right to vote only 90 years ago. When that happens, we'll worry about using male gender slurs against men.

Here's where we descend into uncertain territory. Does past oppression really give the former victims rights that former oppressors don't have?

Should someone whose ancestors were enslaved be allowed to keep slaves from among the oppressors' descendants? Should society turn a blind eye to domestic violence perpetrated by a woman because she belongs to a traditionally oppressed group?

Does there come a point in time when the consequences of past oppression have been sufficiently rectified to allow whites to have organizations revolving around their race? A time when the word "dick" will provoke as much indignation as "c..."?
