Did the networks have a split screen like C-Span?

I watched the debate on C-Span and they had a split screen shot that showed even more what a sniveling, smirking, piece of crap that Bush was during the debate. Did the networks not have this?

Watched the whole thing. Caught Chimp's sour looks a number of times.

But I could still see a tiny, pursed lipped, squinty eyed, angry chimp in the background as Kerry kicked ass.

Kerry otoh - took notes or looked at bush as he spoke.

They spent maybe 40% to 50% in split screen. Maybe a little more.

Bush's smirks and blinking were very distracting. :)
