Bush Flops
Judging by the horrendous performance by Bush in last night's debate it is clear to me that although Bush says he wants to be re-elected deep down he does not feel he deserves to be.

2. I doubt he has that much insight or conscience
I doubt that he thinks he doesn't DESERVE a second term, but I could see the possibility that, deserve or not, deep down inside he doesn't WANT a second term.
