Comparing this to other debates
I've already made posts last night asking people to compare last night to Gore/Bush 2000. Now I'm asking y'all to compare this to the debates in all previous elections. Parallels? Differences?

And one question in particular: based on past debates, is there any precedent which suggests it's possible for Bush to regain his stride in the next two debates? It seems like Kerry really pounded him last night and I'm cautiously optimistic right now, but I'm wondering if there is anything to suggest that we shouldn't let our guard down just yet.

1. Thing to suggest we shouldn't let our guard down yet.
It's Not November 3rd Yet.

That's the only reason we need not to let our guard down. Keep pounding until the votes are in, the winner is announced, and Kerry is bloody well inaugurated.
