when they show debate polls -

REMEMBER, these polls WILL change a few days after the debate

Makes me wonder if they would all be saying tif smirk won the debate..

The spin would be:

Kerry really had to win, and he didn't. It's over for Kerry. Democrats might as well stay home on election day.

4. There is some truth
that spin and fact-checking might sway perception. For example, when Kerry and Bush were arguing over how much money has been spent (or not spent) on non-proliferation, I had no idea what the true figures were. That's a point I want to follow up in the aftermath.

However, it will be very hard to turn this into a "chimpy victory" because his performance was so lame.

5. Honestly, we couldn't have hoped for better than this.
And we now have more ammunition for exposing the media's credibility gap.
