Don't be overconfident about the next debate!
Remember that in 2000, foreign policy was Bush's weakest link. It clearly still is. He is not comfortable talking about anything having to do with foreign policy, save for terror, terror, terror, and 9/11. I think he will be prepared and will make up for his mistakes last night in the next two debates. If Kerry gets overconfident now and lets Bush off the hook on the next round, people will forget how great he did last night. Keep up the short, punchy sentences, absolute discipline in length, and lack of ponderous pontification!

1. Kerry has been debating since he was a prep-school student.
I'm confident he knows not to get too cocky right now. He's been preparing for this all his life, for this moment.
