How many undecideds had their heads explode last night?
Not verbatim, but you understand:

Bush - "The enemy attacked us. We went to war."

Kerry - "Bush has said something telling - We were attacked by Osama bin Laden on 9/11. Saddam didn't attack us."

Bush - "Of course I know Osama attacked us." - point in which uninformed undecideds should have had their heads exploding. What? Saddam didn't plan the 9/11 attacks? boom.

I think that is a key point in the debate. When Kerry exposed that the premise for invading Iraq to "attack the terrorists" was WRONG.

Wrong with a capital Bush!

1. I truly thought that Bush was as confused about who attacked us as
are his christian friends who endlessly call Washington Journal with talking points from Pat Robertson or Jerry, Larry, Bob. That's what happens when your have to spin and defend excessively.

I was suprised that he remembered how to say it correctly.

4. Remember Nathan Thurm, Martin Short's sleazy lawyer character
on SNL? With the glasses and the long cigarette ash and the sweating? Bush reminded me of him so much, with the Osama comment, last night.

When "Nathan" was interviewed on the SNL "60 Minutes" skit, someone playing Mike Wallace would corner him with an air-tight accusation about Nathan's corporation, and Nathan would say, defensively, "I know that. Of course I know that. Why wouldn't I know that? It shocks me that you would think I wouldn't know that."

5. Wow- you just took the words right out of my mouth!
That was EXACTLY what came to mind when Bush responded to Kerry's correction.
