Even GOP pollster Frank Luntz's swing voters gave debate to kerry, 16-2!
http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/29515.htm

October 1, 2004 -- CORAL GABLES, Fla. — A group of Florida swing voters last night said Sen. John Kerry cleaned President Bush's clock in the first high-stakes presidential debate.

Of the 18 swing voters taking part in pollster Frank Luntz's focus group last night, they scored it a 16 to 2 Kerry victory.

Nine of them say Kerry's debate performance convinced them that he's the right man to lead the country for the next four years, while just two are committed to voting for President Bush. Seven are still up for grabs.

Shockingly, when the debate ended, 10 participants thought Bush was the bigger flopper while only two thought Kerry was indecisive.

2. I love the "shockingly" part
BTW, what more do those seven still-uncommitted voters have to see?

3. uh, 5 women and 13 men in his group? A "pollster" who doesn't
know that 52% of the voting population is female is hardly someone I'd trust; no wonder he's seen by real pollsters as completely unprofessional.

The fact that the results were so overwhelmingly in favor of Kerry is really amazing.

4. Maybe of undecideds, 72% are men?...
Dunno, you might be right, but it's possible that the undecideds are not split the same way as the general voting population.

Perhaps women make up their mind earlier than men (or, maybe, this really is proof that women are smarter :) )

5. good question, but have you seen ANY stories or evidence suggesting
this is the case? I haven't.

And the undecideds would have to be VERY different from the rest of the population, if the split is nearly 2/3 vs. 1/3, as in Luntz's sample.

Do these freaking pollsters believe that the entire world is clueless and will swallow their foolishness whole?

7. Same story from Bloomburgville, if you don't want to give the Post the biz
a good idea since I got a popup there from Zedo, whose cookies I've removed many times with AdAware:

They get to Frank about 1/3 of the way down. I'll have to take back one or two of the things I've said about the ol' scumbag over the years.
