Undecideds be damned: Judy Woodruff says polls won't move
CNN's Judy Woodruff was defiant in her support for her hero, G.W. Bush. Judy just told fellow CNN Rovebot, Carol Lin that Kerry's performance in the debate saved him from sinking in the polls but probably would not have an effect Bush's lead. :wtf:

CNN is casually dismissing the likely switch of undecideds into the Kerry column.

1. 4 out of 5 undecides thought Kerry kicked ass
Did you watch the TODAY show? The performance last night alone swayed two of them. Woodruff and Schneider must be sweating bullets.

4. Judy gave her report to Lin with a smirk. It's starting to be contagious
amongst the Kool Aid bunch.

2. What are they basing this idea that polls will not move on?
Maybe they won't, but there can be no basis for this at this point.

6. Judy implied that there was some kind of overnight poll. She is obviously
treading water until CNN can come up with a reasonable explanation why Kerry won't move up in the polls.

18. Maybe it would help if the pollsters stopped using the RNC's
phone list?

10. You're absolutely right... Nothing!
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 11:26 AM by Flubadubya
Carol Lin was interviewing a journalist with a major magazine this morning(sorry I didn't catch which one), but she set right in on him, grilling him, and trying to get him to say that even though he thought Mr. Kerry had made a strong mark, he surely must think that it will not affect the polls or the outcome of the election.

The wise young man did not allow himself to fall for that trap. He said right out, "I have no idea how it will affect the polls right now. We will have to wait and see." Carol didn't give up easily. She hit him one more time on the issue, and his response was basically the same... there is simply NO basis on which to purport any such notion. You could tell Carol was disappointed.

Anyone else see that? I was just passing through when I caught that and didn't get any of the details who the man was or what publication he represented. He did do a good job of fending off Carol Lin's NONSENSE, however.

3. And I'm sure the Repukes have escalated their plans to
disenfranchise minority voters and those that might vote Dem as well as rig any voting machines that they can.

I wonder whether that woman realizes how little respect people have for her? Even my sister, who's a lifelong Republican, thinks she ought to retire.

21. Wolf Shitzer said Bush won the debate
He had Bay Buchanan and Donna Brazille on his show this morning. He suggested that Kerry and Bush tied the debate, and in a tie, the victory goes to the President. Therefore, Bush won the debate. Incredible.

Utah. That will likely be the lead story for a while. No debate poll shift or Iraq quagmire.
