Did anyone notice that after Bush left the stage last night
and briefly Kerry and Theresa were alone on the stage the audience errupted in a HUGE CHEER--a clear indication to me that these people thought that he won the debate.

1. No, but we had it on C-SPAN2, which cuts out the audio feed immediately
What we did notice was that one of Shrub's handlers rushed on stage to snatch up his notes.

8. They just didn't want
anyone to see the little stick people thar Georgie was drawing when he got nervous.

There's a lot of problems with counterfeit art. Wouldn't want those to get into the wrong hands.

16. Well
Sigh. It would be except the IRS disallowed the entire adoption credit we took in 2002, despite the fact that everything we claimed was legit, according to what the IRS says! And they won't even explain it to us! So we are trying to decide if it is worth it to hire a tax attorney and appeal it or pay the $4000. Yep, $4K.

AND my husband's health insurance has started sucking even harder, as I found out this morning. My daughter has strep throat. I took her to the doctor and found out Mr. Moonbeam's health insurance has changed and now DOCTOR'S VISITS aren't covered under copay but under the $2000 deductible!!!! So it was $179 this morning, excluding prescription meds. Yeah.

I just got off the phone about getting a bank loan. This is ridiculous. What do people do who make LESS money???? Or who have more kids?

This country is ridiculous. WE NEED universal health coverage, NOW. Why are we the last industrialized nation in the world not to have it???

24. It is and I'm living it and I can't take it much longer
I just dropped a cancer policy and two life insurance policies to be able to afford the $188 a month it'll cost to get my daughter healthcare coverage through my employer instead of my husbands so that we won't be paying for doctor's visits in FULL.

Sigh.

27. Aw, I'm so sorry.
That sucks.

Al and I thought about having kids, but we just decided that as late in life as we were getting started on our relationship, we just didn't want the hassle.

Maybe if we'd met when we were younger.

This is indeed rough. Our major consolation will be when Kerry gets into office. Hang in there. And get that daughter well before the 30th, dammit! I want to see that youngster dressed as Richard Nixon!

2. Yeah, I noticed it too. It happened at the beginning too.
At the beginning of the debate when Bush came out on stage first, it was just regular applause. Then when Kerry came out, the place erupted with shouts and applause.

3. Yes, I saw that too.
I looked up to make sure that the chimp had left the stage and he had.

I found it funny that Laura and Theresa were in matching suits. (apparently they did too)

20. I thought it was funny
on the suit thing too. It looked like Mrs. Bush was like "oh we're wearing matching outfits!" THK's looks a little whiter and definietly not wrinkled. ;) True classy lady.

5. I saw that and it was huge.
It looked to me like Teresa and John, began to walk off the stage and down the steps to the seat area, but realized they were supposed to go backstage, so turned around and went back up the steps--the crowd roared and cheered and it was loud! It was like an encore. It was thrilling.

9. Yep I caught that
and I attributed it to the debate being in the Miami area. There were probably WAY more Kerry supporters in attendance than bush ones.

None of the "journalists " reported it. Too controversial ,I fear.

It was great! For one brief moment, everyone realized what it would be like to once again have a President and First Lady that we could be proud of. I think "Mama T" is going to make a terrific First Lady. :-)
