CSPAN Split Screen...Did you...
Did anyone else notice that the camera on Bush (during the split screen on CSPAN) seemed to have a technical problem? It seemed to flicker. The flickering seemed to be connected to the audio.

1. Yep
and I noticed they kept kinda panning in and out to try to get it to where their heads were at the same level. Since Kerry is so much taller, it meant Kerry looked furhter back and bush looked further in, BUT it also meant bush looked all tiny, engulfed by his podium, since it hit him at mid-chest.

ROFL!

4. That's the effect that was achieved
Bush looked small next to Kerry and he isn't tall but he isn't really a slight build either but he looked, well, wimpy. The * people were so trying to avoid this by putting the podiums so far apart too. Anyone just watching would have thought that Kerry was the President.

2. Didn't notice it -
watched CSPAN for the entirety. I did notice that in an effort to keep both heads even, it looked as if shrub's podium was a lot larger (it took up more space on the screen). My mom even asked me why shrub's podium was so big. :7

3. Did you notice Bush had a much shorter
microphone than Kerry?

7. Yep
and he slouched all over the podium. Kerry stood tall and straight even when he was writing.

6. I still have not got over the look on his face.
4 years of yes men and Bush now thinks he knows something. God help us.

8. He had that same pursed-mouth look
throughout the whole debate. As another DUer mentioned, he had that same look in the FL classroom on 9/11 for 7 minutes. I guess his handlers told him to try to look neutral, but he looked stupid. I didn't see the flickering distortion that PLA0242 mentioned, but Bush did look a bit "cramped" in his little window. He kept twitching, jerking, hunching the podium, drinking from empty waterglasses. Betcha he gave a really big sigh when he walked off stage. Notice he didn't hang around very long, seemed eager to get off.

9. you could clearly see * go over the red time light
because they had zoomed in so much, Kerry's on the other hand, was obscured by the C-SPAN debate logo, so you couldn't see the lights. It made it very obvious when * couldn't stop ranting, and obscured whenever Kerry didn't stop on time as well.
What a shame....

11. Bush looked orange to me on CSPAN
He was the one who had the tanning incident. Not Kerry.
