Yes, being the President of the United States of America is hard work. It is also a thankless, stressful job. You, Mr. Bush, chose to run for the Presidency. You now occupy the Whitehouse. You are there to do a job. So, do your job and quit whining about how hard it is. For crying out loud, you are the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES man. Stop embarrassing yourself and, most importantly, stop embarrassing us. There you have it folks:
"W" is for whiner.

1. Well written, actually |

It was short, but the bit at the end really topped this off nicely.

2. Is that why you take so much vacation, Mr. President? |
|
Does working hard mean you need every other day off??
Bush has never been a very hard working person. His whole life story is one of little work, disaster, then his father bailing him out.
I think Karl Rove made a mistake with this talking point. It's so UN-LIKE bush to work hard.

3. I'd like to see the Dems go with that as a talking point |
|
"If it's too much 'hard work' step aside."
"The president acknowledged the job was too 'hard' for him..."
and so on. It's what people already know about Bush, and just what we want them to think.

6. That was my exact thought |
|
Every time he said that last night, I flashed on Will Ferrell crawling out from under the desk in the OO with DC burning through the windows...
In retrospect, that skit was pretty prophetic, wasn't it?
And welcome to DU~

8. It's **such** hard work that he had to say "hard work" ELEVEN times... |
|
In fact he's right, it is hard work, and he's not up to the job. That's why we're throwing him a retirement party on November 2. :kick:
