You know, I think Bush believed he had knocked it out of the park |
|
when it was over last night, and I'm pretty sure nobody has told him he lost it big time!
The Bubble may be our saving grace! I bet you nobody on his staff is willing to tell him how badly he did!

1. I bet there weren't any post mortems in the Oval today. |
|
Or wherever he is.
This was supposed to be Bush's big "strong suit" in these debates.
God knows how they're going to prep him for the domestic debates....

2. Bush has been so sheltered |
|
That I honestly think he believes his own hype.
The people closest to him might have deluded themselves into believing their own spin as well.
Thankfully though, the rank and file Repukes saw the truth last night, George got taken to the woodshed. And they're having apoplectic fits about it today.

3. He hasn't a clue that he lost |
|
he also thinks he didn't get special treatment to get into the guard. His life has been filled with special treatment so he wouldn't think jumping ahead of 300 people is unusal. When he is denied something, say like a second term he will get the reality check he deserves so badly.

he couldn't get out of there fast enough. he stood on the stage and waved for 2.3 seconds before herding his family off the stage. it was almost funny.

or he wouldn't of had that pissy constipated look on his face. You are right about him wanting offstage as quickly as possible, probably to go have a temper tantrum even his daughters were looking at him like they knew he was about ready to blow. Ive watched this debate 3 times now and it is amazing how many things you notice the more times you watch it

5. I was thinking the same thing |
|
Who would want to be the one to tell him he lost?
Or force him to watch the video of it to show him how he came across?
I thave always felt that his staff is afraid of him

If he thought he knocked it out of the park he would have been strutting and preening all over the stage afterwards. Instead, he did a cursory acknowledgement of the audience, posed for pic, shook (begrudgingly) Theresa's hand and then INCREDIBLY almost grabbed Laura to get her and the twins off stage. He wanted out of there badly. Maybe he just needed to take a pee after dringing all that water but at any rate he didn't stick around to "savor" the moment.

the LOUD applause after he left the stage? I know he is dumb but that could not have been missed and misinterpreted.

One blogger - and I am ashamed that I did not bookmark this - ran a program against the debate transcript that counted the number of different words that each candidate used in last night's debate.
Bush's word count total was something like 168.
Kerry's was over 500.
In other words, the Moron from Crawford has such a limited and deficient vocabulary, that he repeats the same words and phrases over and over again. Kerry has a much deeper and broader palette of expressions, which most people translate as greater intellect and better articulation.
Of course, there are some knuckle-draggers that prefer an inarticulate and communication-challenged twit in the White House. Let's hope they all get drafted, if Dubya wins the election......

10. I disagree. I got the impression that he knew he lost it. |
|
Didn't you see after it was over when they shook hands, he quickly turned away from Kerry. Bush was pissed.

13. He's surrounded by sycophants |
|
(though he'd have no idea what the word means or how to pronounce it - I nearly fell off my chair last night when he pronounced "vociferously" right. Of course, he used it wrong).
Anyway, I can't imagine any of them telling him how bad he sucked. Does he know it? Hard to tell with him. He lives in such a la la land that it's tough to call.
I saw on Yahoo news this morning that today he's telling people that Kerry will "give veto power over the US to France." What a lying sack of shit he is!

18. I'm looking forward to Domestic Policy |
|
Foreign Policy was SUPPOSED to be the puppet's strong suit. Kerry will absolutely crush him on Domestic, if the miserable little fake still has a bone left after last night's steam-roller.
