6. My guess
Karen wrote it for him and had him memorize it for his "Churchillian Moment". Trouble was Bush* couldn't deliver it with any kind of conviction at all AND EVEN WORSE, after the beating he had taken for the previous 88 minutes, it was completely out of context.

8. It's more a churchy than Churchillian moment.
The Bushists work this kind of language into his speeches so the Christians can think they're getting some code language.

14. I thought it was an attempt to be Ronald Reagan
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 01:16 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
with a twist on the shining city on the hill image. Bush's vision is closer to Ronald Reagan's Death Valley Days period.

15. No, it's really--no kidding--part of the Bushist pander to fundamentalist
Christians. They put code words into his speeches to throw the fundies their required allotment of dripping red meat. No kidding!

17. You are correct-
Here is a thread I started on the meaning
of this particular coded message from last night.
It is truly frightening to consider the implications
of Foreign Policy based in the Book of Joshua-
which I am convinced was the significance of
this particular mumbo-jumbo message to the
"true believers..."
Hell, people, we are in deep shite.

19. Lars39 added another factor
the Great Commission folks.
Proof that the Crusade is in motion.
Franklin Graham and a global army
of x-tians who's mission is to convert everyone
to Chrisitanity.
According to the book of Joshua, those
who will not convert should be eliminated.
This mixture of Strauss and Old Testament foreign policy
is a recipe for global disaster.
What in the heck are we going to do?

20. Are they related to the Dominionists or Reconstructionists?
I think the Republicans are playing with fire and we could all get burned.
