October Surprise: Last night's debate may have determined it. |
|
With blow after blow from Kerry about bin Laden, Bush will likely bring out his (Bush's) employee and co-conspirator right before the election.

1. I don't think so. I think it's too late. People will see through it. nt |

2. Too obvious. I think the speculation has nixed their ability to do that. |

To do it well at any rate. Heck, I'd sort of like to see them try. I think it would backfire in a major way.

3. Bush left out one important statement last night |
|
"We will find Bin laden and bring him to justice" If they had him on ice (or whatever) he would have said that for sure.
The October surprise will not be Bin Laden's capture.

It helps avenge 9/11, but it doesn't help us win the war on terror at this late hour. Al Quaeda has become bigger than Osama and will continue with or without its original mastermind in charge. If bush wanted an EFFECTIVE capture, he should have caught OBL a long time ago in Tora Bora.
