1. The national media has been Bush's most insurmountable weapon

until now.

Bush hasn't had to worry too much about what he says or does because the mainstream media has been safety net. But with the help of the Internet, the public have a voice of their own and don't have to accept what the media decides to dish out. For instance, did you ever think you'd see the day when CNN would have to do stories explaining why their poll numbers should be trusted? That was the result of all the questions being raised on why the numbers went so wacky after the GOP convention. Last night, MSNBC had to dump someone as a focus group supervisor for being too tight with the GOP--would that information have gotten out four years ago? And today, our crowning glory: a grudgingly moderate spin on the Kerry-Bush debate because we told them we weren't going to take any their crap. There's another player sitting at the table this election season--the voters!
