Check your own registrations. The Republicans are pulling massive frauds |
|
Check to make sure they have not messed with your registration, even if you've been registered for a long time. Also, if you've registered at a table, other than a Kerry or Democratic table, check. Republicans have been seen tearing up affidavits. Spread the word on this before the deadlines.

Took two minutes, including looking up the phone number and finding the cordless phone.

last night's debate and the others to come. I'm sure the Repugs and the Evil Empire are grasping at their last resort to win and that is cheat, lie and steal at all cost! Election 2000--here we go again!

5. I Faxed in a Request for an Absentee Ballot |
|
since I'll be doing electioneering on the first Tuesday of November. Now I'm nervous that the fax might have been "lost" or that for some other reason it will never make it to me. It doesn't help that I live in a blue state (MD) with a Republican governor. I guess if that happens I can always go to the polls anyway. But I've never worried about this before.

the option (here in L.A.) to vote early--I guess via touch-screen (which I'm leery of) or absentee ballot. Which should I choose? (I'm leaning more towards absentee ballot. At least I know I mailed it in.

I've been registered here in Oregon for years, and always vote. I discovered, however, I am no longer registered at my current address. Fortunately, I discovered it in time and re-registered, but how many may not realize it and then wonder why their ballots haven't arrived (Oregon is all vote by mail)?
In talking to some folks around here, there seems to be some suspicion that someone is using the voter rolls to find registered Democrats, and then sending in "new" registration cards with false addresses. Not sure if this is true or not, but it was pretty damn suspicious that I suddenly became "unregistered" at my current address.
